Who We Are

We are a faith-based, non-profit ministry that reaches out to single moms and dads, couples, teens, and their families with classes designed to help parents in their journey through pregnancy and parenthood.

Staff and Board Members

Annette Dotterer

Annette Dotterer


Annette's life has been spent serving families in various capacities. As a young mom, Annette served in leadership roles on the Parent Teacher Student Association and Mother’s Creative Fellowship. Annette and her husband Larry did foster care for 9 years mostly with teens. She worked as the Support/Training Team Manager for Project 1.27, a Christian adoption ministry. In September 2008 she began working for Colorado Pregnancy Center as the director’s assistant. On January 1, 2010 Colorado Pregnancy Center became Colorado Family Life Center and Annette assumed the role of director. Annette is a Colorado native who grew up in Aurora. She and Larry have been married for 36 years and have raised two biological children. She enjoys spending time with her husband, their children and their spouses, and eight grandchildren.

Nancy Kurpanek

Nancy Kurpanek


Nancy is a mother of six children, three biological and three by adoption. Most are now living on their own. Besides homeschooling and the associated responsibilities that come with it, Nancy volunteers as a facilitator in a program for hurting adoptive moms, is active in Awanas and a local homeschool support group, her local missional church, and as a Family Life Coach volunteer at Colorado Family Life Center. For the last 30 years Nancy has been happily married to the love her life. She loves to spend time with her husband and family doing house projects, sailing and art.

Valerie Hernandez

Val has over 20 years of dedicated work experience in non-profit administration and management with programs that serve and benefit children and families. She currently works at Children’s Hospital Colorado Foundation as the Director of Employee Relations. She holds a BA in Business Administration from the University of Denver and also completed her certificate in Philanthropic Studies. She volunteers with multiple programs across Colorado and faithfully serves with the Children’s Ministry at Calvary Chapel Green Valley Ranch. Val and her husband Ed, of 25 years, currently live in Denver and have one teen son, Jonah and a young adult son, Eddie.

Matthew Levien

Board Member

Matthew has dedicated his professional career to Animal Welfare and is currently employed with the Denver Dumb Friends League as the Director of the Buddy Center. He holds a degree in Zoology and has direct experience with the non-profit sector. Matthew is a Children's Ministry lead-teacher at Calvary Green Valley Ranch Church, is happily married, and has two active young sons.
